・死ぬ前に「菜食主義者」になったとあるので「肉を食べるのをやめた」と考える。
・③の現在完了にすると「今止めている」ことになってアインシュタインがまだ生きていることになってしまう。

「有名な物理学者のアインシュタインが肉を食べるのをやめたのを知ってる？」
「うん、記憶に間違いがなければ彼は死ぬ前の１年は厳格な菜食主義者になったんだ」
